Het Neerhof
Het Neerhof is a historic square farm of 10 hectares. Since 1974, we have grown into an active educational center and mixed farming business on the border of Brussels and Dilbeek. The farm is owned by the Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie, and its daily operations are passionately managed by the staff and volunteers of the non-profit Het Neerhof.
Every day, we welcome school classes, youth groups, and families. Children and young people discover agriculture, care for the animals, learn about crops, and take time to play and enjoy nature.
On 1.5 hectares of land, we grow around 60 different kinds of organic vegetables each year, which we sell in our own farm shop and to customers in Brussels.
Individual visitors and families are welcome to drop by freely. We are open on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00 and on Sundays from 13:00 to 17:00 for free visits. You can see the animals and play in the large playground at the back.
We ask groups to make a reservation so that everyone can explore the farm in a peaceful setting.
For schools, we offer a wide range of modules, both guided and self-guided. The common thread: learning by doing. The animals, the crops, nature, play, peace… the possibilities at this place are diverse and open to anyone who wants to explore them.
Would you like to enjoy a day at the farm with your youth group? You can! During the holidays, we organize tailor-made farm days for youth groups. A free visit or customized farm day can always be booked through our group visit page.
We also organize many holiday camps during school vacations.
