Music initiation
During Creative Music Making lessons, we discover the wonderful world of music. Before learning to read and write notes and rhythms, it is very valuable to explore the language of music intuitively and playfully.
We sing, of course! We learn active and focused listening, we move and dance, we draw a "graphic" score, we use small percussion instruments. We use play forms to discover all kinds of parameters of music such as pitch, colour, sense of measure, tempi, form and structure.
We are introduced to different instruments and orchestral types so that towards the second grade the children already know more consciously which instrument they would like to learn.
